The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will deploy more than 10,000 police officers and force multipliers across Metro Manila starting April 14 to ensure public safety during Holy Week and the summer break.
According to NCRPO Director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, the deployment covers key areas such as 300 churches (1,071 officers), major roads (791), transport hubs (399), malls and business districts (592), and parks and recreational sites (982).
To tighten security across Metro Manila, an additional 286 officers will be positioned at major entry points, 647 at checkpoints, and more than 2,000 will be on foot patrol in critical areas. Close to 2,000 mobile and motorcycle units will also conduct roving patrols.
Covert teams will carry out surveillance and security assessments, while a Reactionary Standby Support Force remains on high alert for potential emergencies.
“We will provide 24/7 security coverage,” Aberin said. “Our mission is to safeguard everything from peaceful places of worship to busy transport terminals and commercial centers.”
Aberin stressed that senior NCRPO officials, including himself, will be on the ground to directly oversee operations. He also called on the public to stay vigilant and cooperative in helping maintain peace and order during the season.
