NCR wage board approves P50 minimum wage increase for Metro Manila workers

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) stated that approximately 1.2 million minimum wage workers will receive a daily minimum wage increase of P50.

The increase was unanimously approved by the NCR Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) through wage order No. 26.

The increase is set to take effect on July 18 immediately after the anniversary date of the last minimum wage increase in NCR, which took effect on July 17, 2024.

This increase will raise the daily minimum wage rate in NCR from PHP 645 to PHP 695 for the non-agricultural sector. Meanwhile, the wage for the agricultural industry, service and retail establishments employing 15 or fewer workers, and manufacturing establishments regularly employing less than 10 workers will increase from P608 to P658.

This is the highest wage increase granted by the NCR wage board and is the first to issue a wage order in 2025.

The public consultations on a new wage order will be conducted by the regional boards of I, II, III, IV-A and VII between July and August 2025.
