The 2026 Traslacion of the Black Nazarene has been recorded as the largest in history, drawing an unprecedented number of devotees to the streets of Manila.

Based on final consolidated data from the Philippine National Police, the Quiapo Church, and the City Government of Manila, a total of 9,640,290 devotees participated in the Feast of the Black Nazarene. The count covers the period from 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, during the start of the Pahalik, until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, when the Traslacion rites concluded.

Authorities said the turnout surpassed all previous records, officially marking Nazareno 2026 as the most attended Traslacion in history. Millions of barefoot devotees endured long hours, tight crowds, and challenging conditions to take part in the annual religious procession, reaffirming the deep-rooted faith and devotion associated with the image of the Black Nazarene.

Despite the massive crowd, coordination among church officials, local government units, and security forces allowed the event to proceed as planned. The historic attendance highlighted not only the scale of public devotion but also the continuing significance of the Traslacion as one of the largest religious gatherings in the country.
