National budget reflects commitment to Filipino people — Romualdez

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Monday stated that the national budget for the upcoming year reflects the shared commitment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Congress to the betterment of the Filipino people.

Romualdez called the signing of the national budget a “significant milestone.”

“This budget represents the efficient and responsible use of resources, balancing fiscal discipline with the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all Filipinos. It is a critical step toward sustained growth and national development,” he said.

The House Speaker thanked the President for his leadership and the House members for their dedication and hard work.

“This budget reflects our united effort to ensure that government programs truly serve the people,” he said.

He emphasized that the President’s “timely signing of this spending plan ensures uninterrupted government operations while addressing the nation’s most pressing priorities.”

“This decisive action prevents a reenacted budget and strengthens our resolve to achieve the country’s national development goals,” he said.

The House leader further emphasized that the House is proud of its substantial role in shaping this budget, ensuring it is financially responsible and aligned with the needs and aspirations of the people.

“This reflects our commitment to transparent, accountable governance focused on delivering meaningful results,” he concluded.
