The MVP Group of Companies will be honored at the San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association (SMC-PSA) Awards Night on Jan. 27 at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel.
The corporation, led by businessman and sports patron Manny V. Pangilinan, helped support the training and participation of Team Philippines at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Gymnast Carlos Yulo won two gold medals, and boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas secured bronze medals.
Along with the MVP Group, the 100-year-old National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) will receive a special award from the country’s oldest media organization, headed by Philippine Star sports editor Nelson Beltran, during the traditional awards ceremony co-presented by ArenaPlus, Cignal, and MediaQuest.
Pilipinas Live will also be recognized in the event backed by the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Milo, PLDT/Smart, Senator Bong Go, PBA, PVL, 1-Pacman Party List, Rain or Shine, Akari, and AcroCity.
