The Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) will roll out its “Biyaheng Arangkada” motorist assistance program from October 29 to November 3 to ensure safe and smooth travel during the Undas holidays.
In a statement on Monday, MPTC said the program will strengthen safety operations through increased personnel deployment, 24/7 traffic monitoring, and quick response teams across its expressways — NLEX, SCTEX, NLEX Connector, CALAX, CAVITEX, and CCLEX.
Around 2,000 traffic, toll, and emergency personnel will be deployed in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP), local government units (LGUs), and other partner agencies. The program at CAVITEX will also be implemented with PEA Tollway Corporation, a subsidiary of the Philippine Reclamation Authority.
As part of the initiative, free towing services for Class 1 and Class 1M (for CCLEX) vehicles to the nearest exit will be available from 6 a.m. on October 30 to 6 a.m. on November 3.
To maintain smooth traffic flow, road works will be suspended during the period, except for emergency repairs.
Motorists are encouraged to use the MPT DriveHub app for real-time traffic updates, RFID reloading, and road assistance. Additionally, Maynilad will offer free bottled water, while Smart Communications will provide free Wi-Fi and charging stations in select areas as part of the MVP Group’s public service efforts.
MPTC also advised travelers to plan their trips and avoid peak hours, particularly on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon to Friday evening, the morning of November 1, afternoon of November 2, and morning until noon of November 3.
