Giving to Gain. 75-strong Mondelēz International colleagues took part in the FCC Women’s Run in solidarity with the global International Women’s Day movement toward gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Mondelēz International in the Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment and gender equality by joining the Filipina CEO Circle’s Women’s Run PH 2026 for the third consecutive year, turning this year’s Women’s Month celebration into a strong show of solidarity and purpose.

A total of 75 employees from Mondelēz—both women and men—participated in the run, underscoring the company’s belief that building a more inclusive and equitable society requires support from everyone. Their presence at the event reflected a shared commitment to advancing opportunities for women not only in the workplace, but across communities as well.

This year’s observance of Women’s Month carries the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” part of the Philippine Commission on Women’s continuing advocacy campaign. The theme highlights the importance of investing time, effort, and resources in women’s advancement, recognizing that such support creates a positive ripple effect across families, workplaces, and society. It also resonates with the global International Women’s Day call of #GiveToGain, a message that emphasizes how empowering women ultimately benefits all.

At Mondelēz International, that principle is embedded in the way the company leads its people and grows its business. Women now make up 66.7 percent of the company’s top leadership team in the Philippines, reflecting a deliberate push to cultivate diverse leadership and encourage broader perspectives in decision-making.

Leading that effort is Aleli Arcilla, Mondelēz International Philippines’ first female Managing Director and a strong advocate for women in leadership. For Arcilla, progress is built when individuals and organizations actively create space for others to succeed.

“Progress happens when people actively support one another’s growth,” Arcilla said. “The theme #GiveToGain reminds us that investing in women through mentorship, opportunity, and support creates stronger teams, stronger communities, and a stronger future for everyone.”

The company’s support for women goes far beyond public events. Within the organization, Mondelēz continues to strengthen programs designed to help women grow and thrive at every stage of their professional journey. Flexible work arrangements help employees balance career and family responsibilities, while leadership development and mentoring initiatives prepare women for bigger roles in the organization. Wellness programs, including women’s health support and lactation facilities for new mothers, also help create a workplace where employees can succeed both personally and professionally.

Its commitment extends into the communities it serves. Through initiatives such as Aling Tindera, Mondelēz helps empower women micro-entrepreneurs by creating income opportunities through plastic waste recovery. The program highlights how the company links sustainability with livelihood creation, allowing women to participate in more inclusive and meaningful economic activity.

Arcilla said empowering women inside the workplace and in the broader community are deeply connected goals.

“Whether it’s supporting women in our workplace or helping women entrepreneurs in our communities, the principle is the same,” she said. “When women are given the tools to succeed, they don’t just uplift themselves, they uplift the people around them. Everyone gains.”

By once again joining Women’s Run PH, Mondelēz International employees showed that their commitment to women’s advancement is not confined to words. It is reflected in action, in advocacy, and in the company’s continued efforts to build spaces where women can lead, grow, and create lasting impact.

Through initiatives that promote inclusive leadership, strengthen workplace support systems, and open more doors for women in communities, Mondelēz International continues to help move the conversation on gender equality forward—one meaningful step at a time.
