Actor Sam Milby has officially confirmed his separation from Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, addressing rumors and clarifying misconceptions surrounding their breakup.
Confirmation of split
In an interview with ABS-CBN News during the media conference for his series “Saving Grace,” Milby stated that he and Gray are no longer together but emphasized that they remain on good terms.
He said, “If you want to ask if we are okay, we are okay. Wala kaming problema.” ” When asked directly about their relationship status, he responded, “No.”
Addressing third-party allegations
Milby firmly denied speculations that singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre played a role in their breakup. He clarified, “There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared. There is no truth to it at all.”
He further cautioned the public against believing unfounded online rumors, stating, “Please mag-ingat kayo sa mga nakikita niyo online. If there’s no evidence, huwag niyong paniwalaan yung nakikita niyo because in this incident, there’s absolutely no truth to it at all.”
Current relationship with Moira
Regarding his current relationship with Dela Torre, Milby revealed they are no longer friends. He shared, “Sobrang close kami before, and I guess people wanted to connect our closeness to may nangyari sa amin.”
However, he noted, “We are not friends anymore.” Milby chose not to elaborate further, describing the situation as “a really sensitive issue.”
Moving forward
Milby expressed his intention to focus on personal growth and professional commitments after the breakup. He said, “I’m focusing on work, just growing.”
Currently, Catriona Gray has not publicly commented on the confirmed separation.
