MMDA’s ‘May Huli Ka’ site now accepts GCash, offers new features

Vehicle owners with citations may now access new features of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) “May Huli Ka” website following its launch on Friday.

In a press conference at the MMDA office in Pasig City, MMDA Chair Romando Artes said vehicle owners who have been cited through the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) may now view their proof of violations at mayhulika.mmda.gov.ph.

“Motorists will enter their plate and MV File number and view the evidence if their vehicle is tagged with a violation,” Artes said.

Multiple vehicles may now also be registered under a single account in the vehicle ports, ideal for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) operators, fleet managers, logistics companies, and commercial vehicle operators.

All violations in the fleet can be tracked and reviewed through the website.

The website also features a more convenient way to contest violation tickets through the E-Contest feature.

“Once the account is created and verified, motorists can create a ticket, input necessary details, and upload required documents. There will be an email notification once an officer from the MMDA Traffic Adjudication Division (TAD) responds,” he said.

These features aim to provide the public with a more convenient way of reviewing their violations and managing their vehicles.

“With the new features made available in the May Huli Ka website, motorists can now check on their records anytime and anywhere as we continually improve on the system and make it more inclusive,” he said.

He added that AI cameras will soon be programmed to include overspeeding in violations captured in addition to the use of speed guns.

On the other hand, the MMDA has signed a memorandum of agreement with G-Xchange Inc., or GCash, allowing motorists and the public to pay their traffic and littering fines through GCash.

Every transaction comes with a PHP7 convenience fee, lower than the previous PHP12 fee.

The ‘May Huli Ka’ site only shows violations under the MMDA’s NCAP, with other apprehensions accessible through the Land Transportation Office (LTO), the MMDA head office, and local government units.

As of Nov. 30, the MMDA has logged 252,315 violations, 119,345 of which are validated.

To date, the MMDA has 186 AI cameras, 348 CCTV cameras, and 100 body-worn cameras in action. (PNA)
