Donovan Mitchell scored 14 points and hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 108-100 comeback victory over the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
Mitchell, a six-time All-Star, finished with 30 points, while Evan Mobley added 22 points and 13 rebounds. Cleveland overcame an 11-point deficit, taking their first lead since midway through the first quarter on a Mitchell 3-pointer with 6:34 left.
For Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. tallied 26 points and Santi Aldama recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Ja Morant left after six minutes due to a sore right calf and did not return, finishing with seven points and two assists.
Zach Edey, making his season debut after left ankle surgery, scored 13 points with seven rebounds. Memphis had led for most of the third quarter, maintaining a double-digit advantage until Cleveland’s late surge, powered by Mitchell.
The Grizzlies’ injury woes continue, with Morant’s absence adding to the list of sidelined players including Brandon Clarke, Ty Jerome, and Scotty Pippen Jr.
