Miss Grand Philippines 2025 Charity Gala and preliminary competitions held

Last Sunday, August 17, the Miss Grand Philippines 2025 Charity Gala and preliminary competitions took place at the Okada Grand Ballroom, showcasing the talents and beauty of 29 candidates.

Among the favorites to win the coveted crown this year is Emma Mary Tiglao, a 30-year-old news anchor at a Philippine broadcasting company. Tiglao distinguished herself by earning six special awards, including Miss Mestiza, Miss Nutrixpert, Miss Regroe, Mwell Health and Wellness Ambassador, Miss Grand Photogenic, and Miss Grand Casino Plus. She also secured a spot in the top six for the Creative Cultural Costume competition.

Other notable special award winners included Margarette Briton from Bicolandia, who was named Miss Hairfix and Graze Yourself, and Anita Rose Gomez from Zambales, who received the titles of Miss Megan Beauty, Mwell Choice Award for Health and Wellness, and Miss Proshot.

The top six in the Creative Cultural Competition featured Michelle Arceo of Taguig City, Nikki Cheveh of Quezon City, Angelica Joy Flores of Pangasinan, Alyssa Geronimo of Nueva Ecija, Tiglao of Pampanga, and Gomez of Zambales. The preliminary competitions also highlighted the candidates donning costumes inspired by iconic local superheroes, adding a unique flair to the event.

The finals night is set to take place on Sunday, August 24, at the MOA Arena, where the winner will be crowned and take the next step in representing the Philippines on the international stage.
