The provincial government of Misamis Occidental on Sunday reaffirmed its policy of not paying for unverified supply deliveries.

Lawyer Lulu Enerio, acting as the province’s legal officer, said allegations by Limars Ramil regarding unpaid transactions lacked supporting documentation.

She noted that essential records like Acceptance Reports, Inspection Reports, and verified delivery documents were missing for the claimed transactions.

Enerio explained that without these documents, the government cannot process payments in line with Commission on Audit requirements.

Ramil was previously a supplier to the provincial government and recently ran for mayor in Tudela under the previous administration.

The provincial government suggested that Ramil’s online claims may have been politically motivated.

Officials stressed that the current administration carefully reviews all transactions before releasing any payments.

Enerio highlighted the province’s commitment to transparency and adherence to good governance standards.

She added that the government will not tolerate unverified or false claims that could compromise accountability or public funds.

The provincial legal officer concluded that proper documentation is necessary to ensure responsible and lawful disbursement of government resources.
