Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI) has officially opened its newest Metro Market and Department Store in Bais City, Negros Oriental, further strengthening its presence in the Visayas and deepening its partnership with the local community.

The inauguration was attended by Bais City’s top officials alongside MRSGI leaders, including President and COO Joel Orense, Chairperson Sherisa P. Nuesa, and Vice Chairperson Margaret Gaisano Ang—signaling the company’s strong commitment to forging long-term connections with the city.

The new Metro Store offers residents access to a wide range of essentials, from fresh produce and grocery items to household goods and lifestyle products, all at affordable prices. But beyond expanding retail options, the move highlights MRSGI’s broader mission: to help fuel local economic and social development.

“This launch is more than just the opening of a store; it is the beginning of a lasting partnership between Metro and the vibrant City of Bais,” said Orense. “We are committed to becoming a meaningful part of this community by creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, and contributing to the city’s growth and prosperity.”

It also establishes a new hub where families can conveniently shop for their daily needs and lifestyle essentials under one roof.

“Metro stands for something deeper than products and promotions; we stand for uplifting lives,” Orense added. “When communities thrive, businesses flourish. This shared growth is what we aim to build with the people of Bais.”
