A lucky bettor from Metro Manila became an instant multimillionaire after winning the ₱223.5-million jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw on Monday night.
In an advisory Tuesday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winning combination was 21-27-51-19-14-53, with a total jackpot prize of ₱223,580,197.60. The winning ticket was purchased in Barangay Mariana, Quezon City.
Meanwhile, 26 players won ₱100,000 each for getting five out of six winning numbers, 1,059 will receive ₱1,500 each, and 24,038 bettors will get ₱60 each for three correct digits.
Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes at the PCSO Main Office in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City. They must sign the back of the winning ticket and present two valid government IDs upon claiming.
Under the TRAIN Law, lotto winnings exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20% tax.
The Grand Lotto 6/55 draws are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
