Meralco’s ongoing efforts amid severe Tropical Storm Kristine

Meralco line crews and personnel are relentlessly working to restore service in areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

As of noon today, around 397,000 customers are affected by service interruptions, mainly in the provinces of Laguna and Cavite. Some are also in parts of Rizal, Quezon, and Batangas, while the rest are in Metro Manila and Bulacan.

“Rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and our crews are working non-stop to restore service as soon as possible. Again, we urge everyone to prioritize safety and take necessary precautions during this time,” Meralco vice president and head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said.

One Meralco Foundation (OMF), meanwhile, has already mobilized employee volunteers for disaster response efforts. OMF is set to distribute relief packs to evacuees and families severely affected by the storm in the Bicol region today.
