
In a significant move to bolster the Philippine steel industry, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) and the Philippine Iron & Steel Institute (PISI) have partnered to address pressing economic and global challenges.
During a high-level strategic meeting at the Meralco Operating Center in Pasig City, top executives from both sectors came together to explore new ways to energize the country’s steel production and support long-term growth. Leading the dialogue were Meralco Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan and PISI President Jojo Magsajo, flanked by Meralco EVP and COO Ronnie L. Aperocho and SVP and Chief Revenue Officer Ferdinand O. Geluz.
