A new generation of magic is coming! HBO has finally announced the young actors who will play the famous Golden Trio in the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. These are the new faces of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley — the three best friends who fans all over the world love so much:
- Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter
- Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger
- Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley
Arabella Stanton is already known for her theater work in London. She starred as Matilda in Matilda the Musical and as Control in Starlight Express. Dominic McLaughlin and Alastair Stout are both newer to acting, and for Alastair, this will be his first significant role — his only experience was a potato chip commercial!
J.K. Rowling’s seven-part book series will be faithfully retold in the upcoming adaptation of Harry Potter. Because each season will focus on a single book, viewers will have ample time to enjoy the story and learn details that were omitted from the movies. To allow the younger actors to mature with their characters, as depicted in the novels, the show will be developed over several years.
Nearly 30,000 children aged 12 to 16 from the UK and Ireland applied for the roles. To capture the franchise’s enchantment, friendship, and emotion, the creators sought the ideal balance between artistic performance value and aesthetic appeal.
Filming is scheduled to begin in 2025, with the series expected to premiere in 2026. Fans are both excited and curious to see how this new version will bring the magical world of Hogwarts to life again. One thing is certain — the magic is far from over!
