Mandaluyong City has formally recognized Maya Philippines, Inc. and Maya Bank, Inc. as two of its Top Taxpayers, underscoring the fintech group’s expanding economic footprint and consistent contribution to the city’s fiscal strength.
The citation affirms the companies’ role in bolstering Mandaluyong’s revenue base — a critical funding source for public infrastructure, social services, and community development initiatives. Both entities maintain key operational and business functions within the city, making Mandaluyong a central hub in Maya’s nationwide digital finance ecosystem.
“We are honored that both Maya Philippines and Maya Bank have been recognized among Mandaluyong City’s top taxpayers,” said Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group President and Maya Bank Co-Founder. “We remain committed to contributing responsibly to local economic development while continuing to serve millions of Filipinos through digital financial services.”\
Beyond its tax contributions, Maya has been actively supporting Mandaluyong’s digital transformation efforts. The company provides secure and streamlined digital payment solutions for government transactions, local enterprises, and residents — enabling faster collections, improved transparency, and more efficient service delivery.
As digital adoption accelerates across the Philippines, Maya’s recognition highlights the growing role of fintech institutions not only in expanding financial inclusion, but also in strengthening local government revenue systems and modernizing urban economies.
