MANILA – The Manila Health Department (MHD) continued its school-based immunization drive as part of efforts to protect students against vaccine-preventable diseases.
The city government conducted its School-Based Immunization (SBI), also known as Bakuna Eskwela, at Rafael Palma Elementary School in partnership with the Pedro Gil Health Center.
The program aims to make essential vaccination services more accessible to students by bringing immunization activities directly to schools.
Health workers, school personnel, parents and other members of the community participated in the activity to support efforts to protect the health and well-being of children.
The Manila city government said the initiative forms part of its continuing efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare among schoolchildren and maintain safer and healthier school communities.
