Manila Mayor Francisco Isko Moreno Domagoso announced that the long-awaited Health Emergency Allowance (HEA) for the city’s contact tracers is set for release, with distribution expected to begin by December 20. The announcement was made during his regular public affairs program, Yorme’s Hour, where the mayor underscored the crucial role contact tracers played during public health emergencies and other crises.

Alongside the HEA, the mayor confirmed the approval and forthcoming release of various forms of financial support for employees of the Manila city government. These include cash assistance, incentives, and additional benefits aimed at providing relief and recognizing the continued dedication of city workers. According to Moreno, the measures are intended to express the city’s gratitude to its workforce for their sustained service to Manileños, particularly during challenging periods.

The mayor also announced the full rollout of the Bilis Kilos Action Center (BKAC), a newly established platform designed to streamline public feedback and complaints. Managed by the Office of the Secretary to the Mayor and overseen by the City Development Information Services, the action center will serve as a direct channel for residents to raise concerns and seek immediate action from city offices.

City officials said the BKAC is expected to strengthen government responsiveness by ensuring faster coordination among departments and quicker resolution of public issues, reinforcing the city’s commitment to accessible and efficient local governance.
