Manila Classrooms embrace the Digital Age

Manila is stepping into the digital age as the Manila City School Board has approved the realignment of ₱143 million from the Special Education Fund. This funding will be used to purchase Smart TVs, laptops, armchairs, and workbooks for all public Kindergarten classrooms in the city.

According to Mayor Isko Moreno, the program aims to equip each Kindergarten classroom with a Smart TV and a laptop to enhance digital-assisted learning.

This initiative is part of his 10-year “Make Manila Great Again” strategy, which focuses on improving literacy and digital access for young Manileños. He has previously expressed his dream of having every classroom in Manila equipped with a giant internet-ready screen TV.
