Lyceum advances to NCAA men’s basketball quarterfinals

Lyceum of the Philippines defeated San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 70-63, to reach the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball quarterfinals at the San Juan Arena on Tuesday.

Lyceum will face Group B top seed San Beda University, which enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage.

“We want this to be memorable. We want this season to end well, so it’s a good thing we won.”

Jonathan Daileg chipped in 14 points, including a triple that capped a 6-0 run, as Lyceum took a 68-60 lead in the dying seconds of the game.

JM Versoza also had 14 points, while Renz Adrian had 10 points.
