The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has revoked for two years the driver’s license of a motorcycle rider involved in a viral indecent exposure incident.
LTO chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao said Friday the rider was declared an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle following an investigation into the incident.
The rider had earlier been issued a show cause order after a video circulated online showing a man on a motorcycle allegedly exposing his private parts to a woman walking along a public road.
Reports later surfaced of another similar incident allegedly involving the same rider.
During the hearing, the rider appeared before the LTO and confirmed that he was the person seen in the viral video.
He also admitted that the incident happened twice, but claimed that a different motorcycle was used on those occasions and not the unit covered by the LTO investigation.
The motorcycle subject of the investigation remains under alarm status.
“Public roads are never a place for indecency and disrespect toward others. The LTO enforces laws and regulations that must be followed and not ignored,” Lacanilao said.
He added that acts causing fear or alarm to other road users would not be tolerated.
“If an act causes fear and alarm to others, we will not let this kind of indecency pass. It is only proper that his license be revoked,” Lacanilao said.
