At CES 2026, LG Electronics unveiled a breakthrough in home audio: the LG Sound Suite, a modular system anchored by the H7 soundbar — the world’s first to integrate Dolby Laboratories’ Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology. The result is a home theater experience designed not around rigid speaker placement, but around how people actually live.
At the center of the system is the H7 soundbar, engineered to deliver immersive Dolby Atmos audio that intelligently adapts to any room layout.
FlexConnect eliminates the complexity traditionally associated with surround sound systems, automatically calibrating speaker roles and placement for optimal performance. Whether speakers are placed on a shelf, near a wall, or tucked into a corner, the system dynamically distributes audio for balanced, three-dimensional sound.
The LG Sound Suite is built for flexibility. Users can pair the H7 with wireless components such as the M7 and M5 surround speakers and the W7 subwoofer — or even build a system without the soundbar. With up to 27 possible configurations, the platform allows consumers to start with a minimal setup and scale all the way to a 13.1.7-channel cinematic environment.

When the H7 acts as the lead device, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect works seamlessly with any TV via HDMI, expanding compatibility beyond LG’s own displays. The technology will also roll out to LG’s 2026 premium TV lineup and select 2025 models through a future software update.
The timing reflects a broader shift in consumer behavior. As streaming replaces physical media, premium audio formats like Dolby Atmos have become mainstream across major platforms. Viewers are no longer satisfied with flat sound to accompany ultra-high-definition visuals. LG Sound Suite addresses that demand with a wireless, AI-enhanced ecosystem designed to bring true surround sound back to the living room.
LG enhances the experience further with proprietary innovations. Sound Follow leverages ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to detect a listener’s position and adjust the audio sweet spot accordingly. Paired with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, it ensures immersive clarity from virtually any seat. Room Calibration Pro analyzes a space’s acoustic properties and applies AI-driven tuning to produce balanced, room-filling sound tailored to the environment.
Powering the H7 is LG’s α11 AI Processor Gen 3 — the same chip found in its flagship OLED televisions. By integrating this processor into the audio platform, LG applies deep learning and neural processing to sound reproduction. AI Sound Pro+ up-mixes stereo sources into spatial audio, while AI object separation enhances dialogue clarity and balances music and effects. The system also adapts sound profiles based on content type, whether it’s a high-octane action film, live sports broadcast, or streaming playlist.
Every component in the LG Sound Suite features Peerless speaker units, a brand recognized for more than a century of acoustic engineering. By combining high-performance drivers with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and AI processing, LG positions the Sound Suite as both technologically advanced and acoustically refined.
Lee Jeong-seok, head of LG’s Audio Business Division, described the system as a milestone in making immersive audio adaptable to any home. John Couling, Senior Vice President of Entertainment at Dolby Laboratories, added that the collaboration enables consumers to experience Dolby Atmos performance without the traditional installation barriers.
The LG Sound Suite will be showcased at CES 2026 from January 6 to 9 at LG’s exhibit booth, marking what the company describes as a new chapter in flexible, intelligent, and room-adaptive home audio.
