LE SSERAFIM is taking another bold step in Japan as they join forces with one of the country’s biggest music acts, YOASOBI, for a collaboration marking the 20th anniversary of Japan’s leading online fashion platform, ZOZOTOWN.
The project will see the release of a special track, NOISE (Contains a Sample of “Yoru ni Kakeru”), on September 26 at 1 p.m. JST. Produced by Tokyo Coffee Break, the song reimagines YOASOBI’s smash hit Yoru ni Kakeru with a dreamy city pop and Y2K-inspired arrangement. LE SSERAFIM’s distinctive vocals are expected to give the track a refreshing yet nostalgic twist, blending K-pop energy with Japanese pop sensibilities.
The collaboration doesn’t stop at music. LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae) will also perform at ZOZOFES, ZOZOTOWN’s anniversary festival combining fashion and music, on October 13 at K-Arena Yokohama. Significantly, they are the only K-pop act invited, underscoring their strong foothold in the Japanese market.
LE SSERAFIM’s momentum in Japan has been undeniable. Their mini album HOT received Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan earlier this year, making them the only fourth-generation K-pop girl group to achieve four straight Korean albums with over 100,000 shipments in the country. Their fourth Japanese single, DIFFERENT, also surpassed 100,000 units within a week of release.
Their concert presence matches their sales power. Over 110,000 fans flocked to their Japan shows as part of their ongoing EASY CRAZY HOT world tour. The group is also set to headline an encore concert at Tokyo Dome in November—considered a career milestone for international performers.
Currently managed by HYBE’s SOURCE MUSIC, LE SSERAFIM is finishing the North American leg of their 2025 world tour, wrapping up with a sold-out show in Mexico City on September 24. With seven U.S. cities already packed to capacity, the group’s global ticket-selling power continues to grow.
For LE SSERAFIM, the collaboration with YOASOBI and their participation in ZOZOTOWN’s landmark celebration mark another chapter in their rise as a group capable of bridging cultures, music, and style on the world stage.
