Sen. Erwin Tulfo said the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee would review Sen. Panfilo Lacson’s allegations of ghost infrastructure projects in Taguig City once supporting documents are formally submitted.
Tulfo said the panel would first examine the evidence, describing the allegations as a serious matter that warranted scrutiny.
Lacson earlier claimed there were two suspected ghost infrastructure projects and two separate Php 100-million allocations for what appeared to be the same slope protection project in Taguig.
He also alleged that about Php 6.79 billion in flood control projects for Taguig had been inserted into the 2025 General Appropriations Act.
The allegations came after Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, who had repeatedly pushed for an investigation into flood control projects, questioned the increase in Lacson’s net worth.
Cayetano denied Lacson’s claims during a Facebook livestream, insisting there were no ghost projects in Taguig.
Lacson said his team was continuing to gather evidence to support the allegations before formally presenting the findings.
Tulfo said the committee would determine the appropriate course of action after reviewing whatever evidence Lacson submits.
