Kenzo’s spring-summer ‘25 collection captures the vibrant spirit of Rio de Janeiro

Ritmo Kenzo: A Journey into the Spirit of Rio de Janeiro. For the Kenzo Spring-Summer 2025 campaign, artistic director Nigo captures Brazil’s vibrant culture and the energy of Rio. Shot on the city’s iconic streets and beaches, the campaign showcases Brazil’s lively spirit, with dynamic animation and movement. The vision is brought to life through Johnny Dufort’s photography and Frank Lebon’s video imagery.

Reflecting Brazil’s cultural richness, the campaign captures the fusion of influences central to Kenzo’s vision. Nigo blends heritage with modernity, mirroring the vibrancy of Rio. The imagery brings to life capoeira dancers, the sunset over Ipanema, and the energy of beach life, celebrating freedom and unity. It showcases how Kenzo’s designs connect with the spirit of Brazil.

Key pieces include the Kenzo Chiku-Rin Camo, inspired by vintage kimonos and early collections, reimagining camouflage with a bamboo motif. The Kenzo Weave, based on traditional Japanese firefighter coats, evolves as the house’s signature monogram, featured in tailored styles, textured denim, and workwear. The Kenzo Furoshiki bag, inspired by the Japanese wrapping technique, uses soft Italian leather in fluid folds, with a bold cracked leather version for a modern touch. The collection also includes Embellished Mesh pieces, decorated with hand-embroidered beads and jewels, adding flair to summer silhouettes.

Kenzo is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Stores Specialists, Inc., located at Greenbelt 3 and The Mall | NUSTAR Cebu. Visit ssilife.com.ph. (MARY SY)
