Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Philippines has been recognized as the top employer in the country for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, a global authority on the assessment and certification of people practices.

To earn the certification, companies undergo a detailed audit of their human resources practices. This year, JTI Philippines received 100-percent ratings in nearly all assessed areas, including business and people strategy, work environment, onboarding, learning, ethics, and corporate values.

Ari Wisnubroto, JTI Philippines’ people and culture director, said this marks the company’s fifth consecutive year on the Top Employers list. “Now that we are named No. 1 Top Employer, we have demonstrated that we continue to improve our work environment and that we truly champion our employees’ wellbeing and development,” he said.

The company’s family leave policy highlights its progressive human resources approach, granting 20 weeks of fully paid leave to new parents, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or how they become parents.

Wisnubroto added that flexible work arrangements, continuous learning opportunities, and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion further reflect how JTI values its workforce. “Our employees harness the culture and values of JTI as they contribute to our becoming the fastest growing tobacco company in the Philippines,” he said.

JTI has been certified by the Top Employers Institute as a Global Top Employer for 12 consecutive years, recognized for its people policies and practices worldwide.

In 2026, JTI earned Top Employer certifications in 50 countries, with JTI Philippines being one of 14 countries where it achieved the No. 1 spot.
