Former P-pop member now K-pop idol, JL Gaspar, is set to release his single ‘Alon’ on June 6, just a month before his official debut as a member of the upcoming K-pop group AHOF (All-time Hall of Famer).

According to a press release from Universal Records Philippines, ‘Alon’ is described as an emotional pop anthem that offers a heartfelt introduction to his new chapter as a member of the K-pop group AHOF. The track is said to capture the sensation of being swept away by love and the emotional uncertainty that often accompanies it.

Gaspar first gained popularity as part of the P-pop boy group PLUUS before auditioning for the Korean talent survival show Universe League. He emerged as one of the winners, securing his spot in AHOF after garnering an impressive 3,168,841 votes during the finale.

Fans were shocked and excited when news broke of JL’s solo release ahead of AHOF’s official debut. Many took to social media to express their anticipation, with some celebrating the move as a promising start to JL’s K-pop journey. In contrast, others worried it might create a negative impression due to him releasing a solo track before officially debuting with the group.

However, it was reported that JL recorded ‘Alon’ while he was still in the Philippines, before auditioning for the South Korean survival show Universe League, which assured the fans.

The multinational K-pop group AHOF, consisting of nine members, is set to debut in July 2025.
