Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez is set to make a much-anticipated return to the America’s Got Talent (AGT) stage as the show celebrates its 20th anniversary season. Jessica, who first joined AGT at just 10 years old, was a wildcard act during the show’s inaugural season but did not make it to the grand finals.
Now, two decades later, the powerhouse vocalist is ready to chase her dreams once again.
“Being 10 years old on AGT played such a massive role in me believing in something bigger for myself, for my voice,” Jessica shared in a heartfelt Instagram post. “What a huge blessing it is to be able to come back and chase after my dreams again after 20 years. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me .”
The new season of America’s Got Talent premieres on May 27, and fans have already shown overwhelming support online.
“I’m so incredibly proud of you Jessica!! I can’t wait to see you on my screen again!! I’ll always be here to support you, 13 years & counting!!” wrote one longtime fan. Another added, “Awesome Jessica! You’re amazing! I wish you the best in everything!”
Jessica is best known for her remarkable run on American Idol Season 11, where she finished as the runner-up and wowed audiences with her vocal prowess at just 16 years old. Since then, she has continued to pursue music, releasing her empowering single “Baddie” in 2022.
“The song is all about being confident, knowing who you are, what you want, and your worth,” she explained in an interview with ABS-CBN News. “Of course, there’s a little love dynamic going on, but it’s really about the confidence you carry.”
In 2023, Jessica returned to the Philippines to perform at the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Reflecting on her visit, she shared with PUSH Bets: “It’s been so nice. I’ve grown up on Filipino food. This is the most rice I’ve eaten in a long time… I missed my grandparents the most for sure but also the people, the culture, the food.”
As she takes the AGT stage once more, fans can look forward to seeing a more seasoned, empowered Jessica—one who’s embracing her journey, her roots, and the big dreams that started with a voice and a dream 20 years ago.
