The upcoming TWICE concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan will go on with eight members as Jeongyeon takes time off to prioritize her health, JYP Entertainment confirmed Thursday.

The agency explained that the decision was reached after careful consideration, stressing that Jeongyeon’s recovery remains the top priority. “We sincerely apologize to ONCEs who were looking forward to seeing all nine members, but Jeongyeon’s health and well-being come first,” JYP said.

While her absence will be deeply felt, the group is expected to deliver a powerful performance with Jihyo, Nayeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu on October 4. The concert is part of their ongoing “This Is For” world tour, which has been drawing massive crowds across Asia.

The announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from fans online, many of whom have assured Jeongyeon that her decision to rest is a sign of strength, not weakness. Messages of encouragement, trending hashtags, and fan projects have already begun circulating to show that she remains an integral part of TWICE even when offstage.

Beyond the tour, TWICE is preparing to celebrate a milestone moment with the release of their special album “TEN: The Story Goes On” on October 10, marking their 10th anniversary. The project is expected to highlight not just the group’s decade-long career but also their enduring bond with fans worldwide.

Debuting in 2015, TWICE has grown into one of K-pop’s most celebrated girl groups, producing iconic hits like Cheer Up, TT, What Is Love?, Fancy, and The Feels. For many ONCEs, the Bulacan concert will be another chapter in that story—a reminder that even in moments of absence, the spirit of TWICE remains complete.
