Jay Ruiz sworn in as Presidential Communications chief

Former journalist Jay Ruiz took his oath at the Malacañang Palace on Monday, assuming the position of Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office, succeeding Cesar Chavez.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally administered Ruiz’s oath.

Ruiz vowed to combat the spread of fake news and disinformation and to ensure that the president’s projects are shared with the public.

Ruiz stressed that the Marcos administration will not tolerate lies, as they harm the people.

He also called out vloggers, urging them to take responsibility and only share the truth with the public.
