InLife has announced the appointment of Atty. Victor P. Lazatin as its newest Independent Trustee—a move that reinforces the company’s commitment to integrity, good governance, and leadership excellence.

Atty. Lazatin steps into the role following the departure of former trustee Atty. Francisco Ed. Lim, who recently assumed his new post as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A highly respected figure in the legal community, Atty. Lazatin brings decades of experience in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration. He currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel at the prestigious Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz Law Offices (ACCRA) and is a recognized authority in both local and international arbitration.

His credentials extend across borders. He is an accredited arbitrator with several prominent institutions, including the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission, the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the Shanghai International Arbitration Centre, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

“We are honored to welcome Atty. Victor Lazatin to the InLife Board of Trustees,” said InLife Executive Chair Nina D. Aguas. “His deep legal acumen, unwavering integrity, and wealth of experience in governance and arbitration will serve as a vital compass as we continue our mission of empowering Filipinos with compassion and purpose.”

Atty. Lazatin is an active member of influential professional groups such as the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, ASEAN Law Association, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Philippine Bar Association, and the Philippine Council of the International Chamber of Commerce.

An academic standout, he graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines with degrees in Economics and Law, and placed third in the 1972 Bar Examinations. He later pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan, earning a Master of Laws degree as a Clyde A. DeWitt Fellow.

With Atty. Lazatin now on board, InLife gains not just a legal luminary, but a guiding hand committed to helping steer the company toward a future of continued service and excellence.
