Indie star Malcolm Todd drops new single


Rising alt-pop star Malcolm Todd continues to make waves across Southeast Asia with the release of his emotive new single “Chest Pain (I Love)” via Columbia Records.

The track has become a sensation on TikTok, thanks to content creators like Nara Smith, with over 1.3 million TikTok videos using the song. The Philippines and Indonesia lead in engagement, reflecting Todd’s growing regional popularity.

On Spotify, “Chest Pain (I Love)” has held spots on viral charts for over 20 days, peaking at No. 2 in the Philippines, No. 9 in Singapore and Malaysia, No. 15 in Indonesia, and charting across Thailand and Vietnam.

Produced by Todd, Jonah Cochran, and Charlie Ziman, the song captures the bittersweet emotions of love and heartbreak with a smooth yet piercing sound.
