Huawei Philippines has teamed up with De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) to fuel the imagination of young creatives through the new HUAWEI MatePad 11.5 (2025). The partnership puts a spotlight on how technology can elevate artistic expression, featuring the tablet’s PC-like performance and PaperMatte display designed to feel like real paper—perfect for design students and digital creators alike.

The collaboration takes center stage at Art in Motion: The Moving Deadlines, the DLS-CSB Multimedia Arts Program’s annual Halloween event happening from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Benilde Design + Arts Campus. The showcase blends art, motion, and storytelling, allowing students to experiment with digital illustration and animation using the MatePad 11.5.

“Having worked with Huawei before, we’ve seen firsthand how their products perform not only as reliable devices but as creative tools that genuinely empower students,” said Katrina Juane, Chairperson of the DLS-CSB Multimedia Arts Program. “We’re always looking for technology that bridges technical precision and artistic freedom—and Huawei consistently delivers that balance.”

Through this partnership, Huawei and Benilde highlight the growing synergy between creativity and innovation, giving future artists the tools to explore limitless possibilities in design, motion, and storytelling. Students will experience the MatePad’s PC-level productivity with WPS Office 2.0 and HUAWEI Notes, alongside artistic mastery through the GoPaint app—packed with realistic brushes, advanced layers, and intuitive controls that mimic traditional artistry.

The device itself stands out with its sleek, 6.1mm-thin all-metal unibody and lightweight build, making it perfect for on-the-go creators. Its PaperMatte display offers a natural, anti-glare surface that feels just like sketching on paper, while its 10,100 mAh battery and 40W SuperCharge ensure all-day performance.

“This new MatePad continues to impress us with its PaperMatte display and pen precision,” Juane added. “It feels like drawing on real textured paper—a big deal for artists shifting from analog to digital mediums.”
