Skyro helps drive growth for small Filipino entrepreneurs.

Every Filipino business starts with a leap of faith.

Sometimes it’s opening a shop when everyone else is closing theirs. Sometimes it’s betting on yourself when people doubt your age, your experience, or your resources. And often, it’s choosing to keep going even when growth feels just out of reach.

For Kate Luengas of Davao, Ricky Concepcion of Bulacan, and Reychelle Abelida of Bacolod, entrepreneurship began with grit and courage. But what pushed their businesses to the next level was finding the right partner at the exact moment they needed one.

This is how three hustles turned into thriving enterprises—with Skyro helping bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity.

Kate: Betting on herself at 21
At just 21 years old, Kate Luengas opened Kate’s iGadgets in Davao City—right in the middle of the pandemic, when uncertainty was at its peak.

“People were shocked because of my age,” Kate said. “But I explained how I started. Hindi lang ito sabi-sabi—may napakita akong results.”

Starting as a small online shop, Kate quickly understood what customers needed during lockdowns: convenience and safety. She offered door-to-door gadget deliveries when mobility was limited and demand for tech was rising.

What others saw as a weakness—her youth—became her advantage. She moved fast, adapted quickly, and wasn’t afraid to try new approaches.

Initially, Kate’s business ran on cash-only transactions. But as demand grew, she realized that customers needed flexible payment options.

“That’s when nag-boom talaga yung Kate’s,” she said. “Malaki talaga yung impact ni Skyro sa business namin.”

By partnering with Skyro and offering Product Loans, Kate unlocked installment options that brought in new customers and encouraged repeat purchases. With support from Skyro’s merchant team, her business scaled rapidly.

Just one year after opening her first store, Kate now operates 20 branches in and beyond Davao—proof that bold moves, paired with the right support, can accelerate growth.

Ricky: Growing with trust, not shortcuts
Before Raon Point became a known appliance retailer in Bulacan, it started as a modest 40-square-meter shop and a vision built on patience.

Ricky Concepcion spent years as a promodiser and sales agent, learning how customers think, budget, and make buying decisions.

“Marami din kaming naging doubters,” Ricky admitted. “Pero nagpatuloy kami kasi marami ring nagtitiwala.”

Instead of rushing expansion, Ricky focused on consistency and credibility. Slowly, Raon Point became a trusted name in the community.

As the business expanded, flexible financing became essential. While Raon Point already offered other financing options, Skyro provided balance.

“Sanay na yung community namin sa financing,” Ricky explained. “Pero dahil may Skyro na kami, mas maayos yung options for customers.”

Skyro’s real-time payment system also made a difference on the operational side.

“Real-time dumadating yung payment,” Ricky said. “Malaking bagay ‘yon para sa negosyo.”

Today, Raon Point has grown to 20 stores across Bulacan—driven by steady decision-making and partnerships that support both business owners and customers.

Reychelle: From campus reseller to mall-based entrepreneur
In Bacolod, Reychelle Abelida began RF Chein Gadgets while still a third-year college student.

She started small, reselling smartphones to classmates between classes. What began as a side hustle slowly turned into a serious business built on reliability and hard work.

“We can’t control the opinions of others,” Reychelle said. “Pero naging motivation ko yun to prove what I can really do.”

As demand increased, RF Chein Gadgets grew beyond campus sales. Fellow entrepreneurs introduced Reychelle to Skyro, and the partnership proved to be a turning point.

“Maganda yung offers ng Skyro,” she shared. “At ang dami talagang repeat clients na nag-i-installment.”

With Skyro’s Product Loans, Reychelle was able to serve more customers without sacrificing cash flow. Today, RF Chein Gadgets operates inside 888 Bacolod Chinatown Mall, supported by loyal customers who keep coming back through Skyro’s installment options.

One shared turning point
Despite their different journeys, Kate, Ricky, and Reychelle faced the same challenge as their businesses grew:

How do you scale when customers need flexible payment options—without losing trust or stability?

Skyro provided the answer.

Skyro is a SEC-registered lending app offering Buy Now, Pay Later solutions such as Product Loans for partner merchants. These come with 0% interest, 0% down payment, fast approval, and full transparency. Skyro also reports credit activity, helping customers build their financial history.

For small businesses, Skyro isn’t just a payment option—it’s a growth enabler.

Building growth through partnership
For Kate, Skyro offered guidance beyond financing. “Inaalagaan talaga nila yung merchants, and they give advice on how to improve sales,” she said.

Ricky saw immediate operational benefits. “Makikita talaga nila na mas gaganda yung business nila.”

For Reychelle, Skyro opened doors she once only dreamed of. “They help you boost your business and create bigger opportunities for you and your customers.”

Together, their stories reflect Skyro’s mission in action—empowering Filipino entrepreneurs and making growth more accessible.

As Skyro continues to expand nationwide, Head of Marketing Iya Lelyanova sums it up: “Skyro is committed to empowering Filipino entrepreneurs and the communities they serve. By making credit more accessible, transparent, and rewarding, we help partner merchants grow and enable customers to reach the products and experiences they’ve long hoped for.”
