MANILA – A House subcommittee has approved proposed additional funding of Php 2.349 billion for the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Php 132 million for the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The proposed increases were approved by the House Committee on Appropriations subcommittee as lawmakers continued deliberations on the government’s spending plan.
The additional Php 2.349 billion for the DOTr would augment funding for the transportation department and its programs, while the DOJ would receive an additional Php 132 million under the proposal.
The funding adjustments will still have to go through the remaining stages of the budget process before they can be included in the final spending measure.
The House continues to review proposed allocations for government agencies as part of deliberations on the national budget.
