SHENZHEN, China – Global technology leader HONOR and new-energy vehicle giant BYD have sealed a strategic partnership to redefine the future of intelligent, AI-powered mobility. The collaboration integrates HONOR’s advanced vehicle connectivity solution with BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem—bringing human-centric, seamless, and intelligent driving experiences to life.
The partnership was formalized in Shenzhen at a ceremony led by HONOR CEO James Li and BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu. Signing on behalf of their companies were Fang Fei, HONOR President of Products, and Yang Dongsheng, BYD Senior Vice President and President of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute.
A vision for intelligent mobility
More than a technological alliance, the partnership signals a bold vision for the future—one where smartphones and cars work in perfect harmony through AI and connectivity. The collaboration will evolve along three core pillars:
- Core Technologies and Features – Joint innovation on cross-device ecosystem integration, AI agent capabilities, and precision Bluetooth-based digital car keys.
- Channel Ecosystem and User Benefits – Creating a unified model that fuses HONOR’s connected vehicle features with BYD’s intelligent systems, enabling seamless platform interoperability.
- Joint Communications and User Engagement – Collaborative marketing campaigns, co-branded product launches, and interactive events highlighting shared milestones.

A partnership built on innovation
The two industry leaders have a growing history of collaboration. In 2023, they launched smartphone NFC car keys that allowed BYD owners to lock and unlock vehicles using HONOR smartphones. A year later, the partnership expanded into in-vehicle fast charging. By 2025, their cooperation deepened further with the introduction of HONOR Car Connect—first adopted by luxury sub-brand DENZA and now expanding across BYD’s entire lineup.
“At HONOR, we believe that technology should amplify human potential,” said James Li, HONOR CEO. “Our partnership with BYD represents a new era of collaboration where AI and connectivity merge to create smarter, more intuitive mobility experiences. Together, we are building an ecosystem that transforms every journey into a connected, intelligent, and human-centric experience.”
Driving the AI mobility revolution
The alliance is a milestone for both companies—combining HONOR’s strength in AI-driven devices with BYD’s leadership in electric vehicles and intelligent transportation. The partnership aims to accelerate innovations in phone-to-car connectivity, digital keys, and AI-enhanced driving assistance, all focused on improving safety, convenience, and personalization for users.
The collaboration will be spotlighted at the 2025 HONOR Global Developers Conference and AI Device Ecosystem Conference on October 23, where both companies will showcase their joint progress. HONOR will also unveil updates to its HONOR AI Connect platform, underscoring its mission to create a truly human-centric, scenario-based AI ecosystem for the connected age.
