Hino Motors Philippines (HMP) has officially handed over four brand-new FG buses to First Balfour, one of the country’s top engineering and construction firms. The turnover ceremony signaled more than a simple delivery—it celebrated a deepening partnership built on mutual trust and shared commitment to nation-building.
“We’re not just handing over buses today,” said HMP president Shingo Sakai. “We’re celebrating a partnership that embodies innovation, trust, and the drive to uplift Filipino lives through quality engineering and dependable transport solutions.”
The new FG bus units will be deployed in Leyte, serving as dedicated transport for First Balfour workers. This move supports the company’s goal to ensure the safety, comfort, and efficiency of its workforce while meeting the growing demands of its regional operations. Hino’s latest delivery highlights its ongoing mission to support key sectors with innovative mobility solutions tailor-fit to the Philippine landscape.
Joey Oyos, operations and maintenance manager of First Balfour, underscored the significance of the acquisition, “These buses reflect our unwavering pursuit of operational excellence. Hino has long been a trusted partner, and these new units will further enhance our ability to support projects across the country with reliable, high-performance vehicles.”

The new Hino FG buses offer a powerful blend of strength, efficiency, and comfort. Built at Hino’s Laguna plant, the buses feature the robust J08E-WF engine, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for improved safety, and a reinforced suspension system that includes stabilizers and double-acting shock absorbers. These engineering upgrades provide enhanced stability and ride comfort—crucial for long-distance staff transport.
Available in three configurations—Deluxe Aircon (2×2 seating, 45 passengers), Regular Aircon (2×3 seating, 61 passengers), and Regular Non-Aircon (2×3 seating, 61 passengers)—the FG buses also feature modern styling and interiors. Updates include new headlight and taillight designs, refreshed front grilles, upgraded seat upholstery, infotainment systems, USB charging ports, and maintenance-friendly components like brake retarders and auto-greasers.
“This delivery is more than a business transaction—it’s a testament to our role in driving national development,” Sakai emphasized. “By supporting companies like First Balfour, we’re not just moving people—we’re moving progress.”
The collaboration between Hino and First Balfour is a model of how strategic partnerships can drive operational efficiency and infrastructure growth. As the construction sector continues to expand, reliable transport will be vital in keeping large-scale projects on track.
With these new FG buses, First Balfour reinforces its reputation for precision, punctuality, and professionalism—while Hino Motors Philippines reaffirms its place as a trusted enabler of progress across the country.
