The PLDT High Speed Hitters are entering the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference with a fierce mix of experience, youth, and global talent — a formula that could define their long-awaited championship push.
Fresh off back-to-back preseason titles in the PVL On Tour and Invitational Conference, PLDT rides high on momentum despite a recent stumble against Cignal. The loss only sharpened their resolve, transforming last season’s heartbreak into fuel for redemption. This time, they’re armed with a powerhouse import, two hungry rookies, and a battle-tested core ready to make history.
Leading PLDT’s renewed charge is Russian outside hitter Anastasiia Bavykina, a 6’2” veteran with over 15 years of professional experience across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Known for her commanding net presence and versatility, Bavykina brings not just offense but stability — the kind that championship teams are built on.

“She’s not just a scorer. She’s a veteran presence who steadies the team,” said head coach Rald Ricafort, who described Bavykina as the missing piece in PLDT’s system. “Her receiving, blocking, and defense make our lineup complete.”
In her PVL debut, Bavykina impressed with 10 spikes, 2 aces, and 10 excellent receives against Capital1, later exploding for 18 points in a statement game versus Farm Fresh. Her partnership with Invitational Conference MVP Savi Davison is shaping up to be one of the most explosive outside tandems in the league.
Before Bavykina’s arrival, PLDT had already strengthened its future by signing two standout rookies from the inaugural PVL Draft: Alleiah Malaluan and Zenneth Perolino.
Malaluan, a De La Salle University standout and three-time UAAP finalist, aims to bring her trademark poise and power to the pro stage. “For me, success means hitting our goals — both individually and as a team,” she said. “Fans can expect me to be a reliable teammate, someone who steps up whenever needed.”

Perolino, meanwhile, enters the league as one of the first non-UAAP or NCAA draftees, representing Enderun College. “It’s a good kind of pressure,” she admitted. “Coach Rald’s system challenges me to grow every day. The team’s been patient, and it’s helping me adjust from collegiate to professional play.”
At the center of this revamped squad is the dependable PLDT core — team captain Kath Arado, the reigning Best Libero in both the PVL On Tour and Invitational; the formidable middle blocker trio of Mika Reyes, Majoy Baron, and Dell Palomata; and the veteran tandem of Kim Fajardo and Kianna Dy, who continue to anchor PLDT’s playmaking and offensive rhythm.
The chemistry among these veterans, combined with the injection of new height and youth, gives PLDT one of the most balanced rosters in the league — built to adapt, defend, and dominate.
Currently leading Pool A with a 3–1 record, the High Speed Hitters are determined to turn their preseason dominance into a full-blown title run. For Coach Ricafort, every game is a test of grit and cohesion.
“Fans can expect us to give our best every training, every game,” Ricafort said. “This conference is tough, but we’ll keep pushing and working hard to deliver the kind of volleyball our supporters deserve.”

With a revitalized roster, solid momentum, and a deep connection with their fans, the PLDT High Speed Hitters are not just chasing victories — they’re building a legacy.
