The southwest monsoon will continue to bring heavy rain over parts of Luzon, with Ilocos Sur and Benguet placed under a red rainfall alert, according to Pagasa.
A red alert corresponds to more than 200 millimeters of expected rainfall and carries a high risk of severe flooding and landslides.
Pagasa also placed Metro Manila, La Union, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas and Occidental Mindoro under an orange warning, where 100 to 200 millimeters of rain may fall.
The weather bureau said widespread flooding is likely in urban, low-lying and coastal areas under the orange alert, while landslides may occur in susceptible communities.
A yellow warning was issued over Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro and Antique.
Areas under the yellow alert may experience localized flooding, particularly near rivers and low-lying communities, while landslides remain possible in highly vulnerable terrain.
Apart from the Habagat, Pagasa was monitoring three tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Typhoon Dolphin was located 755 kilometers northeast of Batanes, while two tropical depressions were spotted 1,980 kilometers and 3,435 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon, respectively.
