Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe, delivers his remarks during the Q1 2026 edition of The Blue Print by Globe, emphasizing Globe’s vision of “Every Filipino Connected” as a fifth essential utility, underscoring technology and innovation as a bridge to opportunity, resilience, and inclusive growth.

Globe Telecom set the tone for 2026 with a strong recalibration of what connectivity should mean in a rapidly digitizing society—one that goes beyond raw speed and centers on reliability, accessibility, and real-world impact.

At its flagship quarterly media event, The Blueprint Q1 2026, held at The Globe Tower, the company presented a vision of a connected Philippines where digital access serves as an equalizer, unlocking opportunities for all, particularly for underserved and historically neglected sectors.

Carrying the theme “Every Filipino Connected,” Globe framed internet access as a modern-day lifeline rather than a premium service. The company emphasized that consistent and affordable connectivity underpins education, livelihood, healthcare, and disaster resilience, making it essential to inclusive growth and long-term nation-building. The Blueprint reinforced Globe’s belief that meaningful digital participation should not be limited by location, income, or circumstance.

A key highlight of the event was Globe’s continued work with Starlink through its Direct-to-Cell satellite technology. Following a successful live pilot, Globe announced plans to expand testing across more locations and operational conditions, a move aimed at extending dependable mobile coverage to remote and hard-to-reach communities, including areas beyond the reach of conventional terrestrial networks.

Globe also marked a major milestone after being recognized by Ookla as the most reliable mobile and broadband network in the Philippines. With consistency scores setting new industry standards, the recognition aligned with Globe’s three strategic pillars for 2026: Connectivity You Can Count On, Connectivity for Every Filipino, and Experience Globe Connectivity. The focus, Globe stressed, is on delivering dependable quality of experience that people can rely on daily.

“This recognition confirms that our investments are translating into real, everyday value for our customers,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Globe’s chief marketing officer. “Consistency is the foundation of a digital economy where MSMEs grow, families stay connected, and communities become more resilient. By delivering quality at scale, we enable inclusive progress and help make connectivity a true driver of national development.”

Beyond network performance, The Blueprint showcased how Globe is embedding digital empowerment across businesses, homes, and communities.

Through Globe Business, enterprises are being equipped with advanced yet accessible solutions, including the country’s first fully managed, enterprise-grade data streaming platform developed with Confluent, alongside the Globe Omnichannel Cloud Contact Center. These offerings remove traditional capital barriers and democratize access to real-time data and AI-powered customer engagement, allowing even smaller enterprises to compete in the digital economy.

For households, Globe At Home is positioning fiber internet as a basic utility. Its Built-in Broadband initiative integrates fiber ports directly into new residential developments, supported by AI-enabled services and a 24-hour Care Squad designed to provide what Globe describes as digital peace of mind—ensuring that connectivity at home is stable, supported, and worry-free.

Globe also highlighted the advantages of converged connectivity through its Mobile and Home Advantage offers. By pairing GFiber Postpaid with Globe Mobile Postpaid, customers can enjoy significant monthly savings, while Prepaid and TM users gain access to exclusive promotions and free data allocations, making always-on connectivity more attainable for everyday users.

TM’s 25th anniversary was also celebrated as a testament to its enduring connection with grassroots communities. With affordable services, anniversary rewards, and on-ground caravans nationwide, TM continues to deliver on its diskarte-driven promise, bringing both value and resilience to millions of ka-TMs across the country.

On the premium end, Globe expanded its lifestyle offerings through the Platinum GPlan, introducing a market-first collaboration that allows subscribers to earn airline miles via PAL Mabuhay Miles, blending connectivity with travel and lifestyle benefits.

Social impact remained a central pillar of Globe’s strategy through GoGIVE, where Globe Prepaid users generated more than four billion hearts via the GlobeOne app, with over 840 million already converted into donations. These contributions have supported partner organizations such as Ayala Foundation, Rise Against Hunger Philippines, Pawssion Project, and the Philippine Eagle Foundation, while also bolstering disaster response efforts nationwide.

“Connectivity today is a lifeline,” said Globe chief commercial officer Darius Delgado. “Our goal is to make sure every Filipino—whether in urban centers or remote barangays—has access to reliable and consistent digital services. More than speed, we are building trust, inclusivity, and resilience into the core of our network.”

With The Blueprint Q1 2026, Globe continues to shape a digital future where connectivity is not just faster, but fairer and more purposeful—one that empowers people, strengthens communities, and ensures that no Filipino is left behind in the connected world.
