Globe AI-ready workforce upgrades innovation, productivity

To enable its innovative drive and improve operational efficiency, Globe Telecommunications is strengthening its AI-ready workforce through company-wide investments in digital skills, AI productivity tools and continuous learning to enhance the delivery of better customer experiences using artificial intelligence (AI) that would reshape the future of work. 

According to Globe chief human resource officer Renato ‘Ato’ Jiao, they have started enhancing company productivity, accelerating innovation and creating greater value for customers and the business through a people-centered approach to AI adoption. 

“At Globe, we see AI as an enabler of human potential,” Jiao cited to underscore their commitment  not only to adopt new technologies but to equip its workers with the tools and skills and thr confidence as well to thrive in an AI-enabled workplace. 

“When our people succeed, they create better experiences for our customers and stronger outcomes for the business,” he pointed out. 

Globe’s HR executive noted that human resources plays a central role in advancing their strategy for innovation by integrating AI into learning, professional development and workplace experience initiatives. 

Accordingly, Globe’s workforce has access to an intelligent virtual assistant that streamlines HR services, making information easier to access and support more responsive. Moreover. structured learning pathways and hands-on training also help build AI literacy and practical skills across different levels of proficiency.

To support day-to-day work, Globe has deployed an AI-enabled knowledge platform that simplifies access to company policies, benefits and workplace resources. Data-driven mentoring and skills development programs connect people with relevant learning opportunities, while secure AI productivity tools help teams automate routine tasks, improve efficiency and focus on higher-value work requiring creativity, critical thinking, and sound judgment.

Currently, more than 80 percent of Globe’s workforce has access to AI productivity tools, while over 2,500 team members have completed AI learning programs. These initiatives have enabled Globe teams to develop more than 30 AI-powered applications and bots supporting procurement, quality assurance, customer engagement, data analytics, and network operations. 

As a result, 84 percent of participants reported higher productivity, saving an average of three to four hours each week through AI-powered workflows.

“Beyond improving workplace efficiency, these internally developed AI solutions are delivering measurable business value. AI-powered quality audits have significantly reduced costs and manual effort, while a procurement chatbot now handles around 1,500 inquiries every month,” Jiao highlighted. 

“AI-driven personalization has enhanced customer engagement and revenue generation, while intelligent network monitoring has achieved a 90 percent fault detection rate, reducing service restoration time by 70 percent,” he added. 

Finally, Globe’s HR chief stressed that their AI transformation aligns with broader global workforce trends. 

Based on the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, 86 percent of employers expect AI and information processing technologies to transform their businesses by 2030, while 77% plan to upskill and reskill their workforce to work alongside AI.

In line with this shift, Globe continues to strengthen organizational capabilities by expanding AI skills across its workforce and embedding responsible AI into everyday operations. The company believes these investments will help sustain innovation, improve customer experiences, and support long-term business growth.
