GIGIL makes history as only PH agency to win at both Cannes Lions and D&AD in 2025

Top Filipino independent creative agency GIGIL once again proves it’s in a league of its own—raking in major international awards in the world’s most prestigious creative competitions. In 2025, GIGIL emerged as the only Filipino agency to win at both the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the D&AD Awards, reinforcing its status as a global creative force.

At Cannes Lions—the advertising industry’s equivalent of the Oscars—GIGIL clinched two Bronze Lions in the fiercely competitive Film category for its standout campaigns:

  • “Steal” for Mandaue Foam Home Store
  • “Miracle” for RC Cola

These wins mark a milestone not just for the agency, but for Philippine advertising history—it’s the first time a Filipino agency has taken home two Film Lions for two different clients in a single year. This is also the fourth time in five years that GIGIL has won at Cannes, proving its consistency in delivering not only head-turning but globally recognized creative campaigns.

But GIGIL’s winning streak didn’t stop in Cannes.

Across the globe in London, the agency also earned three accolades from the highly respected D&AD Awards, a show known for its notoriously high standards in creative excellence and craft:

  • Graphite Pencil (Film) – Mandaue Foam “Steal”
  • Wood Pencil (Film) – Mandaue Foam “Steal”
  • Wood Pencil (Film) – RC Cola “Miracle”

Founded in 1962, D&AD is one of the toughest creative competitions in the world—where even a shortlist is an honor, and a Pencil win is a mark of elite-level work.

Both award-winning campaigns were directed by Marius Talampas of Arcade Film Factory, whose distinct vision helped bring the offbeat brilliance of GIGIL’s ideas to life.
