Independent Filipino advertising powerhouse GIGIL has made history after being named Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year in The Work 2025, published by industry authority Campaign Brief. This marks the first time a Philippine agency has topped the region, solidifying the country’s position as a creative force alongside the best in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
GIGIL led this year’s rankings with 46 Acceptances spanning 27 campaigns for 16 brands, earning it the additional title of No. 1 agency in the Philippines. The agency’s winning work covered a diverse client portfolio that includes Closeup, Defensil Antibacterial Soap, Grab, Havaianas, Jiang Nan Hotpot Restaurant, Jollibee, Knorr, LBC Express, Lagundex Cough Syrup, Macbeth Apparel, Mandaue Foam, Netflix, ONE Asia Creative Awards, PalawanPay, Rogin-E, and Skyro Loans.
Now in its 23rd year, The Work is regarded as one of the Asia-Pacific region’s most authoritative barometers of advertising excellence, curating the standout campaigns from across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Being published annually by Campaign Brief, it has long been considered the definitive record of the region’s most outstanding creative output.
This landmark recognition adds to GIGIL’s impressive track record, having consistently won marketing effectiveness trophies at the APAC Effie Awards over the past five years.
“This milestone is a testament to the power of Filipino creativity,” said Badong Abesamis, GIGIL’s Founding Partner. “This is not just GIGIL’s win — it is the Philippines’.”
With this historic triumph, GIGIL has proven that Filipino ideas can stand shoulder to shoulder with, and even surpass, the best creative minds in the Asia-Pacific region.
