Motorists will have to pay more for gasoline starting this week as fuel retailers announce mixed pump price adjustments, with gasoline posting another increase.
Shell Pilipinas Corp. says it will raise gasoline prices by P0.20 per liter while cutting diesel and kerosene prices by P0.20 per liter each.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not offer.
The price changes take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, for most oil firms.
Cleanfuel will apply its adjustments later in the day at 4:01 p.m. on Tuesday.
Other fuel companies have yet to announce their price movements for the week.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau earlier projected rollbacks for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene due to easing global oil prices.
The DOE attributed the expected declines to investor focus shifting back to developments in Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
Last week, fuel firms increased gasoline prices by P1.20 per liter while keeping diesel and kerosene prices unchanged.
As of December 2, year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P19.90 per liter for gasoline, P21.75 per liter for diesel, and P6.75 per liter for kerosene.
