Gary V’s ‘Pure Energy’ concert continues despite health setback

Gary Valenciano will proceed with his “Pure Energy: One More Time” concert on Sunday, December 22, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, despite health concerns following Friday’s performance.

Team Gary V confirmed the show will go on, sharing an update on Facebook. Valenciano, undeterred by health setbacks, expressed his determination. “I will be at the Araneta today. No weapon formed against me will prosper,” he wrote.

“It’s a go! Today’s Sunday DECEMBER 22 show will be pushing through. Thank you everyone for your prayers, especially our DEC 22 ticket buyers for your patience and understanding,” Valenciano added.

As a special treat, P-pop king SB19 will join Valenciano as a guest for Sunday’s concert.

Earlier, the veteran performer was forced to cut his Friday concert short due to an upset stomach and vomiting. Despite his health challenges, including type-1 diabetes, a past bypass surgery, and a battle with kidney cancer, Valenciano remains committed to his performances.

His “Pure Energy” concerts celebrate his 40th year in the entertainment industry, with Sunday’s show marking another milestone in his illustrious career.
