Runners take part in the Garmin Run Asia Series – Philippines, celebrating fitness, endurance, and a sense of community in one of the country’s biggest running events.
The Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang roared to life on October 26, 2025, as more than 7,000 runners surged into the second edition of the Garmin Run Asia Series – Philippines. What began as a cool Sunday morning quickly transformed into a celebration of grit, community, and the shared pursuit of better health, bringing together casual joggers, elite athletes, and runners who simply wanted to beat yesterday with a new personal best.
Garmin, the global leader in sports and health smartwatches, once again put the spotlight on active living with a regional event that continues to unite Asia’s growing running community. This year’s Manila leg drew a record 7,700 participants across all categories, including 238 foreign runners from over 20 countries such as Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, and the United States. Members of the Garmin Run Club and various running groups joined the surge, along with media personalities and public officials, turning the run into both a fitness festival and a showcase of shared passion.
The on-course action was just as intense. In the 21K division, Corsino Satinitigan dominated the men’s race with a 01:10:38 finish, trailed by David Kipkoech Kipsang and Ritchie Estampador. Jessa Mae Roda led the women’s field at 01:31:45, ahead of Eloisa Cusi and Jocelyn Elijiran. The 10K races featured strong showings from Welmer Jeck Labrador and Edna Magtubo, who topped the men’s and women’s divisions respectively. Over in the 5K sprint, Jevie Rebutazo and Marjorie Diangkinay claimed the fastest finishes in their categories. All participants who beat their qualifying times took home completion medals, digital certificates, and exclusive rewards from Garmin and partner brands.
But the celebration didn’t end at the finish line. At the Garmin Village, runners cooled down with recovery activities, explored Garmin’s latest fitness devices, and enjoyed a lineup of games, freebies, and partner activations. The festive hub echoed the event’s heartbeat: that running is just as much about community as it is about personal milestones.
Staying true to its “From Zero to Hero” theme, this year’s Garmin Run championed the everyday athlete—those chasing breakthroughs, building confidence, and discovering their inner hero one kilometer at a time. “The success of the Garmin Run in Manila for two consecutive years speaks volumes about the strength and passion of our running community,” said Ryan Tan, Founder and CEO of NAVCO Group, Garmin’s exclusive Philippine distributor. “We’re proud of this movement and excited to bring the momentum forward.”
The Garmin Run Asia Series – Philippines was powered by premium sponsors AminoVITAL and Shokz, with Starlux Airlines as the official airline partner, supported by a strong roster of brands including Anker, Beach Hut, Celeteque, Coleman, Century Tuna, Fitbar, Speediance, Milcu, Sunnies Flask, Technogym, Medicare Plus, Pocofino, and Devant.
With another successful year wrapped, the Manila running community now sets its sights on the next challenge—and the next chance to beat yesterday.
