Fuel prices are set to end the year on an upswing, with oil companies announcing a rollback of last week’s cuts as global risks resurface.

Diesel and kerosene prices will rise by P0.60 per liter on Tuesday, December 30, marking the final price adjustment of 2025 and reversing the P1.30-per-liter reduction implemented just a week earlier.

In separate advisories issued Monday, Seaoil and Jetti Petroleum said the increases will take effect at 6 a.m. Seaoil confirmed that both its diesel and kerosene products will reflect the P0.60 hike, while gasoline prices will remain unchanged.

Industry sources earlier attributed the latest price movement to renewed geopolitical pressures, including ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, as well as stricter United States sanctions on Venezuela, which have raised concerns over global oil supply.
