First Lady Liza Marcos honors women leaders in Diplomatic Community

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos paid tribute to women leaders as she hosted a cocktail reception at Malacañang on Thursday for female ambassadors and the spouses of diplomatic mission heads, in celebration of Women’s Month.

Sharing photos of the event on her social media pages on Saturday, the First Lady expressed admiration for women who lead with wisdom and purpose.

“In celebration of Women’s Month, we gathered in sisterhood and solidarity — honoring the grace and strength of women who lead not only with wisdom but also with purpose,” she wrote.
“To women who lead… To women who lift… And to women who continue to pave the way. May your influence know no boundaries!”

Speaking at the Kalayaan Hall, Marcos highlighted the significance of the occasion and the strong presence of women in leadership roles across the global diplomatic community.

“Excellencies, your presence here is more than symbolic; it’s powerful,” she said.
“You carry not only the voices of your nations but also the aspirations of countless women who see in you a reflection of what is possible.”

In a separate post, she called the gathering a tribute to “the grace and the strength of women who lead us not only in wisdom but with purpose.”
